Delete Your Maat Scan Account

Maat Scan is operated by Hoot Hall LLC. You can permanently delete your Maat Scan account and the data associated with it at any time using any of the methods below. Deletion cannot be undone.

1. Delete from the mobile app (iOS / Android)

1. Open Maat Scan and tap the Account tab.
2. If you are using the app as a guest, there is no account to delete. Guest usage stores no personal data on our servers.
3. Tap Delete account and confirm.
4. You may be asked to sign in again (Google or Apple) to verify your identity. Once confirmed, your account is deleted immediately.

2. Delete from the website

1. Sign in at maatscan.com/account.
2. Scroll to Delete Account and click Delete my account.
3. Confirm the dialog and re-authenticate when prompted. Your account is deleted immediately.

3. Request deletion by email

If you cannot access the app or website, email support@hoothall.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account". After verifying your identity, we will delete your account within 30 days and confirm by email.

4. What is deleted

• Your account record, including email address and authentication user ID
• Your entire scan history and all saved thumbnail images
• Plan, quota, and bonus-scan records
• Any feedback you submitted through the app
• Your subscriber record at RevenueCat, the service that syncs mobile subscriptions
• Any web subscription billed through our website (we cancel it at deletion; if cancellation fails for a technical reason, contact support@hoothall.com and we will cancel it manually; no refund is issued for the remaining period)

Images uploaded on the free plan or with a Credit Pack are never stored, so there is nothing to delete for them.

5. Subscriptions purchased through the App Store or Google Play

Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription billed by Apple or Google. To stop being charged, cancel the subscription in your device's App Store or Google Play subscription settings. We recommend doing this before deleting your account.

6. Data we may keep, and for how long

• Encrypted database backups: automatically purged within 30 days of deletion
• Server access logs (IP address, timestamps): automatically deleted after 30 days
• Purchase and transaction records: kept for up to 7 years as required by tax and accounting law, then deleted

Retained records are not used to provide the service and cannot be used to restore your account.
